The University of Texas at El Paso
The University of Texas at El Paso's campus sits on a hillside, offering views of the Rio Grande and Ciudad Juarez. Its unique architecture, inspired by the Dzong style of Bhutan and Tibet, sets it apart. The university is a major research institution and the largest Hispanic-serving R1 university in the contiguous United States. UTEP is also home to the Sun Bowl stadium, where the annual Sun Bowl college football game takes place.
Financial Aid
The sticker price is rarely what families actually pay. UTEP's grant and scholarship aid lowers the net price for most income brackets. 61% of students receive Pell Grants; 29% take federal loans.
