Northern Arizona University
Northern Arizona University's main campus is set in Flagstaff, a mountain town near the state's iconic pine forests. The university is a major research institution, particularly known for its strengths in astronomy and its close ties to the Lowell Observatory. NAU's high-altitude location makes its athletic facilities a popular training ground for elite athletes. Students can choose to study at the Flagstaff campus, online, or at various locations throughout Arizona.
Financial Aid
The sticker price is rarely what families actually pay. Northern Arizona University's grant and scholarship aid lowers the net price for most income brackets. 30% of students receive Pell Grants; 33% take federal loans.
