University of Missouri-Columbia
The University of Missouri's main campus is located in Columbia, the fourth-largest city in the state. Mizzou is known for its strong journalism program, the first of its kind, where students gain real-world experience at the Columbia Missourian newspaper and KOMU television station. The campus is also home to the University of Missouri Research Reactor Center, a unique facility that is the only domestic source of isotopes for nuclear medicine. Traditions run deep here, and the university claims to be the birthplace of homecoming.
Financial Aid
The sticker price is rarely what families actually pay. University of Missouri's grant and scholarship aid lowers the net price for most income brackets. 20% of students receive Pell Grants; 35% take federal loans.
