As the flagship campus for the state, UMaine offers a traditional college experience with a focus on research opportunities. Known for a strong sense of community, students actively participate in campus events and support the Black Bears, the university's Division I athletic program. Its location provides access to both the amenities of a college town and the natural beauty of Maine.
